Huawei GR3 2017 is an affordable midrange smartphone launched in January 2017. It has Android 7.0 Nougat, Full HD display (1080 x 1920 pixels), 12 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and 8 megapixel front camera with 1080p video recording, fingerprint scanner, and a non-removable 300 mAh battery. It is available in Black, White, and Gold. It costs ₱8,990 ($162 in the US).

Design –

It has 2.5D Arc Glass which is appealing to the eye and it’s lightweight unlike other smartphones that weigh too much. Unfortunately, it’s not waterproof and it’s prone to smudging. Although its unibody is made of glass, it looks kind of plasticky. But, it doesn’t matter. I am comfortable using it. In fact, it fits in my hand like any other smartphone.

Display –

The first time I saw it, I was kind of surprised because it looked captivating and pleasing to the eye. I could’nt believe I could see it. I was like, ‘Oh, why is it so beautiful!’. I could’nt imagine how far Huawei has been as I was told by a salesman that the company is in the Top 3 of the best-selling smartphone makers in the world (behind Samsung and Apple). The colors are vibrant and the FHD display looks good. It’s very sharp and clear.

Performance –

When I used it, it was kind of lag-free and it didn’t cause any problem. That’s because of its Octa-core processor which makes the user experience smooth and fast. With Android 7.0 Nougat, new features are included such as Quick Reply and Multiscreen where you can multitask up to 3 screens unlike other smartphones which can only have 2 screens at a time.

Sound – Unrated

I didn’t have the chance to check the sound coz there were no songs saved on the phone. Sorry ’bout that.

Battery –

It has 3,000 mAh which can last up to 2 days with average use. Unfortunately, there’s no fast charging.

I hope this helps. Thanks for reading this. Have a good day!
